LOS ANGELES, CA (PACOIMA) – Emergency responders rushed to the scene of an explosion and fire at a residential property in the 13500 block of Remington Street on Thursday evening.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), the explosion occurred within a dwelling, resulting in a partial structural collapse and heavy smoke emerging from the residence.

Fire crews arrived quickly and began firefighting and search operations.

One individual was found injured at the scene and classified as a “red tag” patient, indicating a serious medical condition requiring immediate emergency care.

Paramedics provided treatment before transporting the patient to a nearby hospital.

The injured individual reported that no other human occupants were inside the home at the time of the explosion.

However, emergency crews discovered three dogs trapped inside the damaged structure.

Firefighters worked swiftly to rescue the animals and bring them to safety.
