PERRY COUNTY, TN – Anthony Boberg, 36, has been charged with criminal homicide and is currently being held without bond in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend in Perry County, according to Sheriff Nick Weems.
The incident took place on Meditation Lane in the southern portion of Perry County. Sheriff Weems stated that a dispute between neighbors over dogs escalated into violence, resulting in the fatal shooting of 45-year-old Samuel Yoder.
Deputies with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on Sunday afternoon and discovered Yoder deceased.
Following the initial investigation, authorities identified Boberg as the suspect. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Perry County Jail, where he remains detained without bond.
At the request of 32nd Judicial District Attorney General Hans Schwendimann, special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) have been assigned to assist in the investigation.
Sheriff Weems emphasized that no additional details are available at this time, as the case remains under active investigation.
